Harrison Distinguished Professor of Molecular Physiology and Biological Physics at the University of Virginia. Co-developer with Zbyszek Otwinowski of the HKL data-processing suite (DENZO, SCALEPACK, HKL-2000, HKL-3000) - the dominant MX data-processing software at synchrotron beamlines for two decades. Also contributed PDB validation and data-management tools (LabDB, PDB_REDO inputs, Diffraction-Anisotropy Server).
